Trump Condemns Democrat Lawmakers for Sedition Claims

Lorna Morales,
 November 23, 2025

Prepare for a political firestorm as President Donald Trump unleashes a fierce critique against Democrat lawmakers.

In a shocking turn of events, President Trump accused a group of Democrat lawmakers, including Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), of sedition for urging military personnel to defy orders, sparking heated debate on Nov. 22, 2025, as Breitbart reports.

On Nov. 18, 2025, a video surfaced featuring these lawmakers, notably Slotkin, delivering a message to troops with the phrase “Don’t give up the ship,” as reported by Fox News. This clip quickly ignited controversy across political lines.

Democrat Video Sparks Immediate Backlash

Just days later, on Nov. 22, 2025, President Trump took to Truth Social to express his outrage. He labeled the lawmakers’ actions as sedition, a grave accusation that reverberated through conservative circles.

Trump didn’t mince words, asserting that such behavior undermines the very foundation of military discipline. One wonders if these lawmakers considered the dangerous precedent they might be setting with such rhetoric.

The president initially suggested that seditious acts could warrant severe punishment, even death, per Fox News reports. However, both Trump and the White House later clarified that execution was not his intended consequence.

Trump’s Strong Words on Truth Social

Posting on Truth Social, Trump demanded accountability for those involved in the video. His words carried the weight of a commander in chief determined to protect national order.

THE TRAITORS THAT TOLD THE MILITARY TO DISOBEY MY ORDERS SHOULD BE IN JAIL RIGHT NOW, NOT ROAMING THE FAKE NEWS NETWORKS TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT WHAT THEY SAID WAS OK. IT WASN’T, AND NEVER WILL BE! IT WAS SEDITION AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL, AND SEDITION IS A MAJOR CRIME. THERE CAN BE NO OTHER INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THEY SAID!

Such a powerful statement from Trump highlights the severity of the perceived betrayal. If military obedience can be so casually dismissed, what’s to stop chaos from ensuing under the guise of dissent?

Advisors Amplify Concerns of Insurrection

Senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller joined the fray, describing the video as nothing short of a call for rebellion. His analysis painted a grim picture of Democrat intentions.

Miller pointed to a troubling pattern, alleging that the Democratic Party has fueled violence against federal entities like ICE and Border Patrol over the past 10 months. This broader context adds fuel to conservative fears of systemic unrest.

It’s a general call for rebellion from the CIA and the armed services of the United States, by Democrat lawmakers.

Miller’s pointed critique raises a fair question: How can lawmakers justify actions that seem to erode trust in federal authority? The hypocrisy of preaching unity while sowing discord is hard to ignore.

Propaganda Claims Add to Controversy

Adding another layer, former CIA operations officer Bryan Dean Wright, host of “The Wright Report” podcast, called Slotkin’s video a deliberate “propaganda” effort. He suggested she fully understood the controversy it would provoke, per Breitbart News.

As the story broke on Nov. 23, 2025, at 2:47 PM by Amy Furr, the nation watched this clash unfold. The debate over military loyalty versus political dissent promises to linger in public discourse.

Ultimately, this incident underscores a deeper divide over authority and obedience in America. While Democrats may claim free speech, conservatives argue that encouraging military defiance crosses a perilous line.
