FBI Raid Targets Fulton County Election Warehouse Over 2020 Vote

 February 2, 2026

Last week, federal agents descended on a Georgia warehouse tied to Fulton County’s election operations, seizing roughly 700 boxes of ballots and materials from the 2020 presidential contest between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden. This dramatic action has reignited scrutiny of the integrity of the election results in Georgia’s largest metropolitan area.

The raid, conducted under a search warrant signed by a federal magistrate, specifically cited Title 52 of the U.S. Code, Sections 20511 and 20701, which govern election-worker conduct regarding the preservation of records and the handling of ballots. FBI agents targeted evidence of potential fraud in vote counting, according to sources familiar with the still-sealed warrant. Fulton County elections official Sherri Allen confirmed to local media that approximately 700 boxes of records were taken.

FBI Action Revives 2020 Election Concerns

Critics of Fulton County’s election management argue this raid validates long-standing suspicions about irregularities in the 2020 vote. For over five years, President Trump, the current president of the United States, has raised concerns about Georgia’s ballot processes, particularly in Atlanta’s jurisdiction. This federal probe seems to echo those persistent doubts.

The statutes cited in the warrant prohibit anyone from knowingly depriving state residents of a fair election through fraudulent means, such as tampering with voter registrations or ballot tabulations. Sources note the laws aim to ensure ballots are issued and counted properly, Just The News reported. This raises questions about whether Fulton County adhered to such standards.

Adding fuel to the fire, years of reporting have documented irregularities in ballot counting within Fulton County. Republican Gov. Brian Kemp filed an official complaint over what he called “sloppy” processes, a concern that now appears prescient given the FBI’s involvement. The timing of this raid feels far from coincidental to many observers.

Kemp’s Warnings on Fulton County Errors

In 2021, Kemp referred the audited November 2020 election results to the Georgia State Elections Board after reviews uncovered significant issues. Issues included duplicate tallies, math errors, and transposed data in absentee ballot counting. These errors, detailed in a 36-item summary, could have skewed totals by thousands of votes.

In November 2021, Kemp clarified he wasn’t contesting Joe Biden’s victory—decided by a narrow margin of about 12,000 votes—but expressed alarm at the vote-counting quality. Statewide, Biden edged out Trump with 49.47% to 49.24%, a mere 11,779-vote difference. Such tight results amplify the weight of any procedural misstep.

Kemp’s critique was sharp and pointed. “The data that exists in public view on the Secretary of State's website of the RLA Report does not inspire confidence,” he wrote. It’s hard to disagree when federal agents are now combing through boxes for evidence of wrongdoing.

Fulton County Admits Procedural Failures

Near the end of 2025, Fulton County admitted to the State Elections Board that tabulator tapes from 2020 weren’t properly signed, violating state rules. They also confessed to misplacing other election documents. These revelations only deepen skepticism about their oversight capabilities.

Ann Brumbaugh, an attorney for the Fulton County Board of Registrations and Elections, addressed the issue on Dec. 9. “We do not dispute that the tapes were not signed,” she said. “They should have done it.”

While Brumbaugh noted updated procedures, enhanced training, and stronger compliance measures, many conservatives wonder why such fixes weren’t in place sooner. If basic rules like signing tapes were ignored, what else might have slipped through the cracks in a pivotal election?

Legal Battles and Alleged Misconduct

The Justice Department has also sued Fulton County in December—year unspecified in reports—seeking access to election records. Earlier investigations alleged workers altered double-marked ballots rejected by machines, selecting a candidate instead of rejecting them as spoiled, contrary to Georgia law. This directly violates state requirements for handling overvoted ballots.

These records are also tied to a civil case involving the Georgia State Elections Board and the U.S. Justice Department. With multiple legal fronts scrutinizing Fulton County, it’s clear the 2020 election remains a lightning rod. More details are expected soon when courts release the warrant’s supporting affidavit.

For conservatives, this saga underscores a broader need for ironclad election integrity measures. President Trump’s 2024 victory in Georgia shows voter trust can shift, but lingering doubts from 2020 must be resolved. If proven, these lapses could justify stricter oversight, even if they don’t alter past outcomes.
